Reprogramming the immune system
to stop autoimmune disease

A single-treatment strategy that generates antigen-specific immune tolerance to durably stop autoimmune disease without broad immunosuppression.

Our Approach

Potent. Selective.
Lasting tolerance.

Nodal Therapeutics, Inc. is a start-up developing a single-treatment strategy that can durably stop autoimmune disease by generating antigen-specific immune tolerance (ASIT).

The technology is nucleated from Prof. Chris Jewell's lab at the University of Maryland, with best-in-class efficacy data in 10 pre-clinical models, including long-lasting remission and the ability to halt or reverse disease in a durable manner with a single treatment. We have generated data in models of multiple sclerosis, type 1 diabetes, transplantation, and more.

Illustrative mechanism — a degradable depot placed directly in a lymph node turns the node into a tolerance factory.
